Keeping our spirits up despite the storms!

Fr John has at last set off on his trip/study time. All will continue as usual, we hope!

There are others on hand who are assisting – my thanks to them. Next month we will have reflections on World Youth Day, and its implications for those of us who did not attend, from 5 mothers who went to Sydney with their family – mothers from various ethnic backgrounds and a wide age range. I look forward to receiving their input. Do keep sending your news in to us here. Jane

Please remember that the Marist Laity office will be open only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from now until early February 2009. Phone messages and emails will be checked and answered as soon as possible, but be aware there may be delays.

How about Podcasts or MP3 format?

(see News Page for more ...)

We need your feedback ... are you interested in this as a possibility?

Are you, or someone you know, expecting a baby?

Do you know that we operate a prayer network for expectant mothers placing them under the protection of Mary, Mother of Good Hope?

You can send us the names & address of the parents to be by email: intouch@marianmothers.org

Include your own name and/or any special message so that we can advise the recipient who made the request.

We will send a prayer card to the parents and enter their names in a register that is kept in the chapel here. They are prayed for by many Marist priests, religious, and lay people.

Lilies of the Field (Parables).

Ecology, sustainability, justice, peace - all these are interrelated. Starting from a workshop on 'sacred earth' at the Sydney May 08 conferece & using a number of other sources, these issues can be looked at in the light of Jesus' instruction to us not to be concerned for the material things of this world.
